Trump is equated to being a fascist xenophobe with Hitler dictatorial tendencies and, a murder of American values.  America helped to create the refugee problem in the first place by literally making war on Syria and Libya.  Now, Americans are being lied to about what is “normal” American policy on conflict refugees.  People like Larry Summers don’t want you to understand just how recent this policy shift happened and why it happened.

TND Editorial:  Eric Dubin

There are times when Larry Summers’ media framing genius shows:  “As global businesses, they have a huge stake in the United States being a nation of the Statue of Liberty rather than being a nation of refugee camps.” (source: link)

In nearly all other conflicts the United States has had an involvement with, refugee camps established inside or adjacent to a conflict zone was the norm for where displaced people would move and the mass resettlement of refugees into the United States nor any far away country was NOT normal policy.

Trump is equated to being a fascist xenophobe with Hitler dictatorial tendencies and a murder of American values when in fact, the major shift that has happened was the very adoption of the policy of mass resettlement of war refugees the West created in the first place by facilitating war on Syria and Libya. Mass importation of refugees is not traditional American policy. People like Larry Summers don’t want you to understand just how recent this policy shift happened and why it happened.

But Summers understands framing, public relations, and controlling the terms of the debate. He’s a genius. He knows that the weakest link to the entire globalist argument is our true history that indeed, this whole Non-vetting of tens of thousands of refugees is indeed contrary to American history even right up to policy when Obama took office. We’re not talking about some small-scale batch of Cubans coming in boats over the years. The context of this policy is much, much different. Summers comment is not just a generic argument based on tugging on heartstrings and such. He’s proactively targeting the very understanding that what was happening before Trump acted was indeed something other Democratic Presidents never did during all other U.S. involvement with global conflicts – not even close on this scale. Summers doesn’t want you to know this historical aberration, and that’s why this fact is not discussed in the mainstream media. This history is so important, that Summers goes out of his way to attack and proactively fold into his arguments the undermining of the very notion that this history even exists.

Framing response to the mere pointing out of America’s true policy history will be labeled “pro-Trump” and categorized as a caricature of the actual argument and point why this editorial is necessary.  Some will even attempt to distract from this history by calling this very editorial an example of xenophobia.  A nation divided enables the selling of bad policy to the masses, and it’s also a distraction to the fact that America helped to create the refugee problem in the first place by literally making war on Syria and Libya.

Media framing geniuses are the towel boys of special interests.  Mr. Summers, you need a clean towel.
